The world is full of traumatic and adversarial experiences. There are disasters beyond our control, as well as wars, conflicts, incidents, and accidents caused by humans. There is also horrific abuse and bullying. Yet we are still alive here and now. This can be said to be proof that we have overcome all suffering. I hope that the researchers, clinicians, and practitioners gathered at this conference will learn the source of that strength and the ways to survive, and that this wisdom will be realized and shared with children, students, educators, and many adults.
